Background:
I have worked as a physiotherapist for over 20 years now. In this period I developed a great affinity for treating sports-related injuries. From out of my interest in sports I also coached many (top) sports teams in the field of physiotherapy and prevention. My activities also included working as physiotherapist and physical condition/recovery coach with AFC football club for over 13 years. In addition to treating sports injuries I have been specialising in the treatment of shoulder complaints in the last few years. Various training courses, including NSA shoulder complaints and the combination with ultrasound and shockwave gained me a broad insight in shoulder complaints. In the last few years I took a course in Mulligan, a form of manual therapy without manipulation (chiropractics), very suitable for chronic complaints of the joints.

Leisure:
Apart from my work I love doing nice things with my family (two daughters).

Partnerships:
Since 2012 I have been associated with Schoudernetwerk Amsterdam (Shoulder Network Amsterdam). In 2017 I became member of the board of SNA. I also coach students during their manual therapy (SOMT) training and I am an examiner for the SOMT.

Background:
In 1995 I graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam as a physiotherapist and in 2002 I graduated from SOMT as a manual therapist. After working in several English hospitals for one year I worked in various practices for 23 years, among those I worked 11years in Haarlem before I started at Fysiotherapie Zwaansvliet more then 2 years ago. As a manual therapist I furthermore specialised in back and neck complaints and additionally developed a special interest in shoulder complaints. I have three sporty sons aged 15, 13 and 9 who love playing soccer, hockey and tennis.

Leisure:
I love running and consider taking part in the 2015 New York marathon a highlight. I also love CrossFit, tennis, home-cooking and spending a good deal of time with my husband and three sons.

Background:

I have been working as a physiotherapist in primary care since 2013 and in 2021 I completed my master manual therapy. In addition to my master’s degree, I have completed the Extended Scope Practitioner course, which has given me more knowledge, and the oppertunaty to  refer to other medical specialists.

A challenge, that’s what I like. My heart has been with sports and exercise from an young age. I have played waterpolo at an international level and I know what it feels like to go all the way. Patients who have to go through a difficult rehabilitation process sometimes also need a helping hand to get themselves to a higher level. I find it a real challenge to unleash the passion that is needed to get to that point in people.

In recent years I have developed myself in (complex) orthopedic complaints where the source of the problem is approached from the entire body. From my waterpolo past I have a lot of experience with shoulder problems. I have also supervised many processes after knee and hip operations.

Leisure:

After my top sports career I alternately do different sports. Some of them are swimming, running and golf.

Leisure:
In my free time I like to do sports. Skiing in the winter and running and playing tennis all year round. At the weekend I like to cook and enjoy dinner with partner, friends and family.

In 2019 I obtained my diploma as a manual therapist.

Leisure:

During this period I also worked with two men’s soccer teams. Since November 2018 I have been working with great pleasure with Fysiotherapie Zwaansvliet in this dynamic Medisch Centrum Zwaansvliet. In addition, I also work as a physiotherapist for the 1st team of the “Amsterdamsche Football Club” (AFC). Here I can combine my work as a physiotherapist with my passion for sports / top sport.

Background:
Prior to my physiotherapy study, I completed the CIOS in Haarlem. CIOS has taught me a lot about techniques of various sports and exercises that I can now apply in practice. After my CIOS training, I was not finished developing myself and my dream was to work as a Physiotherapist. In 2018 I graduated from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam as a Physiotherapist.
After my education I worked in private practices around Amsterdam for the first few years.
As a physiotherapist with the pre-education CIOS I am experienced in helping beginners but also experienced athletes who I can i their own sport. In addition, in previous workplaces, I have worked a lot with older people and people with chronic disorders.
I am a sporty Physiotherapist who tries to take people to an active and healthy life. I also believe that everyone deserves an active life and can achieve it through sports and with the necessary guidance.

Leisure:
In addition to my work, I am playing basketball at first division level 3 days a week. After 16 years of basketball I am still addicted to the game and I try to get the most out of myself every week.
Outside of basketball I like to do activities with my friends.

In 2004 I graduated from the Hogeschool van Utrecht as a physiotherapist. After that, I worked for 1.5 years in different primary care practices before I left for France to work in two different rehabilitation centers. In the cardiac rehabilitation, neurology and orthopedics departments, I have enjoyed guiding all kinds of people. An additional advantage was that I quickly became proficient in the French language.
In the period after this, I often kept the link with healthcare, until I picked up this beautiful profession of physiotherapy again at the beginning of 2019.

Background:
After I moved from Leverkusen to Enschede in 2018 for my studies, I was able to complete the study as a physiotherapist at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in 2022. During the study I worked as a fitness instructor in a gym, where I was already able to guide many clients in achieving their goals. I am a real team player and therefore like a good cooperation between patient and physiotherapist. In the past year I have been able to further develop my affinity with the neurological patient group. For the future, I would like to continue working on this. From September 2022 I will be working as a physiotherapist at Physiotherapy Zwaansvliet, where I can help patients with various health complaints on their way.

Leisure:
In my daily life I am mainly busywith sports, health and mindfulness. I love to cook and always like to try out new recipes. In addition, I like to meet up with my friends and I prefer to be outside in nature.

Background:
I have been involved in sports since childhood. It was therefore a logical step to study physiotherapy. Helping people and making the human body function optimally were my motivations. In 2004 I obtained my diploma in Breda. Because of my sports background, I started studying sports physiotherapy in Utrecht. In 2007 I was done with this.
After working in various practices in Brabant, I came to live and work in Amsterdam after a world trip of 8 months. Annatommie mc became my employer. Here I gained a lot of knowledge about (orthopaedic) rehabilitation and worked closely with orthopedists and sports doctors.
I always really enjoyed working with children, so I started giving boot camp training and sporty children’s parties. Because I started to miss contact with adults, I am now starting as a sports physiotherapist at Physiotherapy Zwaansvliet. Helping people and making the human body function optimally are still my motivations. Who knows I see you soon!

Leisure:
In my spare time I like to do sports, cooking, travelling or be together with my family in the woods, on the beach or in our garden.
